Things I’ve learnedThe first thing is to decide what you want.Decluttering is fun when the time is right and you are motivated. You can always pause and come back again. It is very liberating to get rid of things that are no longer useful or pleasing – and you get to really enjoy what’s left. The whole process is so much easier with someone else to help with the decision making and with moving stuff so you can make faster progress |
Why hire Pete?Because I’m different:
I lived for 15 years in a 3-bed house and gradually filled one bedroom with clutter. Mountains of paperwork, a rowing machine I bought on a whim, overflow storage of clothes I was never likely to wear again, hundreds of photos (I never discarded any, just kept them all in the developers’ envelope). Loads of stuff I’d stored in my parent’s house, that they now thought I might like to ‘look after’. Boxes upon boxes of clutter. Piles of paper & stuff kept ‘just in case’. |
One day I had to face up to an urgent need to declutter – having married and moved in with Carol, I had to merge the contents of our 2 homes into her small cottage.
This freed up my house so I could rent it out for some useful income, but it meant having a complete sort through accumulated hoardings. So I’ve been there. I learned through experience, and can make it easier for you. I know it can be done efficiently; I actually enjoy working with you to achieve this, and I think you’ll see how easy it can be with someone else to help motivate you to sort your stuff. |
